Elizabeth Starr "Betty" Cummings Hill (November 4, 1925 - September 12, 2017) also credited as Elizabeth Starr and Elizabeth Sloan, was a writer for Timely Comics and the Sangor Studio during the Golden Age. She also wrote for detective and mystery pulps before moving into children's books.
Life & CareerEdit
She was born in Lynn Haven, Florida to Raymond King and Gabrielle (Wilson) Cummings. Her father was a renowned science fiction writer (as Ray Cummings) who also wrote for comics. She attended Finch Junior College and Columbia University.
In 1949, she married chemical engineer Russell Gibson Hill. They had two children, Andrea and Bradford.
