Bonnie Hano was an assistant editor and production staffer at Atlas Comics in the early 1950s. Her first husband was comics writer Hank Chapman, and her second husband Arnold Hano was the founding editor of Lion Books[1], a publisher owned by Atlas owner Martin Goodman.

She and her husband moved to Laguna Beach, California in 1954, where they still reside. As political and environmental activists, they were awarded Citizens of the Year in 2013.[2]
