Celine Kiernan, is an Irish novelist, animator and webcartoonist. Born and raised in Dublin, she trained as an animator with the SullivanBluth studios, and worked in the film business for 17 years. She is the author of the Moorehawke trilogy of young-adult fantasy novels, first published in Ireland in 2008 and now published in 10 different languages in 15 different countries. Her fourth novel, Taken Away (aka Into the Grey), a ghost story set in 1970s Ireland, is due in September 2011. She is working on a fifth novel, a supernatural/sci-fi/horror/romance set in 1890s Ireland, a Moorehawke webcomic, and a four-volume series of graphic novels called Thomas Clarke. She lives in Cavan with her husband and two teenage children.
