Gwenneth A. Tourret (b. Hendon, Middlesex, 1931) was educated at Harrow Art School, and joined an art studio for four years before becoming a freelance illustrator. Most of her work has been in children's books, but she has also drawn for British girls' comics like Boyfriend in the early 1960s. Her sisters Pat and Shirley were also illustrators and comics artists. Now Gwen is the last of the daughters to still be alive.
