Lo Baker is a queer cartoonist who graduated from the School of Visual Arts in 2011. She is the creator of Aquapunk, which brings together her love of robots, aliens, magical theory, and dystopian literature.
In 2012, she published her first zine, Real/Super , which is expected to be extended into a series. It explores themes of gender and sexuality through the genre of robots.
She currently lives in Los Angeles, and works as a concept and narrative artist for the game developer Nerd Kingdom.
