Izumi Tsubaki (椿 いづみ Tsubaki Izumi), born 11 December in Saitama, Japan, is a female manga artist known for creating the Oresama Teacher and Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun series. She depicts herself in comics as a simple happy face with features similar to those of the main mascot, Super Bun, in Oresama Teacher.

Tsubaki began drawing manga in her first year of high school. She was soon selected to be in the top 10 of Hana to Yume Mangaka Course, and subsequently won the Big Challenge contest. Her debut work was Chijimete Distance, published in 2002 as a one-shot in Hana to Yume magazine. Her first serialized publication was The Magic Touch, a romance series that ran from 2004 to 2007, also in Hana to Yume. The Magic Touch was poorly recieved due to bad story writing and being full of shoujo cliches. Tsubaki's next work is still ongoing- Oresama Teacher (俺様ティーチャー Ore-sama Tīchā?), a romantic comedy focused on an ex-delinquent trying to life a normal high school life. Oresama Teacher has been running since 2007 in the same magaine. Tsubaki's latest work, Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun (月刊少女野崎くん  Gekkan Shōjo Nozaki-kun) is published in Gangan Online, and has recieved an anime adaption with 12 episodes.
