Nicole Sixx moved back to Los Angeles in 2010 to pursue a career as an author in the comics and horror industries respectively. Her first steps toward this goal was heading up Public Relations and Journalistic coverage of various indie comic events and indie comics starting in December of 2010. As a journalist she is also well known for continued and various coverage of Dark Horse Comics.[1]
A creator in her own right, Nicole is also a contributing Womanthology writer and artist, as well as a founding member of their Social Networking team. Both independently and as a group, she has spoken on Womanthology's behalf all across Los Angeles[2] heavily supporting the release of their Heroic anthology. She also contributed to the accompanying Womanthology Sketchbook, as well as their Holiday special and Valentine's Day special.
Nicole Sixx's online journalistic coverage of Dark Horse Comics and the comics industry as a whole is expansive and well known both nationally and abroad. Particuarly noted is her coverage of Steve Niles, Gerard Way, Mike Mignola, Buffy, Falling Skies TNT, and various musical artists. She was also the only journalist given full acess to TR!CKSTER in its debut year as an avid supporter of independent arts and creators. She returned to cover TR!CK2TER in it's second year from July 11th through 14th, 2012, and had several of her photos from it run in both the Los Angeles Times and the Union Times San Diego.
In January of 2012 Falling Skies TNT flew her and other selected media worldwide out to their Season Two set in Vancouver, BC. She remained close with the team, cast, and fan sites, eventually moving on to write with two of them on Three If By Space.
She is also a contrbuting artist at Hyaena Gallery, the author of the upcoming Carousel Boys novella, and has performed backing vocals at Bar Sinister and The Viper Room in Hollywood for the now disbursed gothic folk band, Black Cherubim
Nicole Sixx has done promotions for two independant themed kickstarters to date, both the Womanthology; Massive All Female Comic Anthology! kickstarter and the AGENT 88 - THE WEB SERIES kickstarter. Each of which not only met their asking goal but also spereately exceeded it into the hundred thousand mark.
In September of 2012 she met up with various creative friends in the comics industry at MorrisonCon in Las Vegas and is currently working hard on her nine page comic contribution to the upcoming Morrison Con Anthology.
Nicole Sixx moonlights at a histroic Rock-N-Roll bar and resides on the web with her readers and in Los Angeles with her two cats.
