Rumiko Takahashi (高橋 留美子, Takahashi Rumiko) was born October 10, 1957, in Niigata Japan. She is a mangaka best known for her works Ranma 1/2 and InuYasha, and has been cited as being the wealthiest mangaka in Japan[1] as well as the best-selling female comics artist in history [2].
