Women and the Comics was an exhibit at the Museum of Cartoon Art in Rye Brook, New York, that opened May 19, 1984. It was curated by Trina Robbins and Mort Walker, tying into the book of the same title written by Robbins and Catherine Yronwode. It featured work by 50 women cartoonists.[1]

At the opening reception, several of the artists drew on the walls of the women's restroom, in response to the tradition of male cartoonists drawing on the walls of the men's room, started by Chuck Jones in 1979.[2]
